This Nutcracker is carved in the form of a Jewish man's head with an elongated nose and beard, a hysterical expression on his face.
Many of these pieces were created in by Anti-Jewish enthusiasts in Europe for purposes of degrading Jews in public settings. In this case the Head of a Jew is formed into a utensil which is used to crack nuts with its (their) mouth.
