On the title page are several stamps of Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Brody, rabbi of Tosh (Nyírtass).
The Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Brody of Kalov (1862-1938) was the son-in-law of the Holy Admor Rebbi Meshulam Feisch Segal Levi, the first Admor of Tosh chassidus. He served as Rabbi in his father-in-law’s city, and then served as rabbi of Kalov (Nagykálló), where he established a yeshiva gedolah where around 300 students learned at any one time. Over the years he had thousands of students, including great scholars. Students of his who survived the Shoah told of his holy practices, prayer, strength of Torah, and holiness. His student Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Gross wrote a long introduction in his book “Beer Menachem” in which he details stories from his rav.
