Sefer Ma’aseh Rokeach – A Kabbalistic commentary on the Mishnah by the esteemed Rabbi Elazar Rokeach, Av Beit Din of Brody.

Mahelov, 1817. Printed by Tzvi Ze’ev Rabin Stein. Second Edition, Mahelov, 1817. With important Hassidic endorsements, including one from the revered Rebbi Yisrael of Pików, son of Rebbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev.

The flyleaf contains an ancient handwritten note of novel Torah insights dated Friday, Parashat Korach, 1850. The handwriting is similar to that of Rabbi Baruch Frenkel Teumim- the Baruch Ta’am and appears to have been written by one of his descendants.

Signature and stamp of Rabbi Pinchas Teomim-Frankel (d. approx. 1875), grandson of the Baruch Ta’am, and son-in-law of the holy Rebbi of Sieniawa. He served as Av Beit Din of Bukowsko and later succeeded his father in Cieszanów.

Stamps of his son, the revered Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Teomim-Frankel, great-grandson of  the Baruch Ta’am and grandson of the holy Rebbi of Sieniawa, who is mentioned by his grandfather in the responsa at the end of the sefer Divrei Yechezkel (1999 edition, Siman 36). Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel served as Av Beit Din of Sopkov [Sobków], passed away in his prime in 1894. After his passing, his widow married the holy Rebbi Elimelech Shapira of Grodzisk.

[See Rabbeinu HaKadosh MiShinowa, Volume 2, pp. 916-917.]
