Inscription: "Rabbi Chiya, of blessed memory." [Rabbi Nissim Yehoshua Eliezer, son of Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Avraham, one of the sages of Izmir.]

 Ownership Inscription: "Purchased with the money of our esteemed Rabbi Chaim Moshe Ardit, of blessed memory." [Rabbi Chaim Moshe of Izmir was a known benefactor; according to his manuscript collection, responsa from *Avkat Rochel* by Rabbi Yosef Karo were printed.]

2. Sefer Parashat HaKesef: On the teachings of the Rambam, by Rabbi Shmuel Soranga.

3. Sefer Neharot Damascus by Rabbi Shlomo Kamondo.

First Edition. Salonica, 1802.

 Antique Dedication from Rabbi Azaria di Boton; stamped by his son Rabbi David di Boton from Jerusalem.

Signature and Gloss by Rabbi Eliyahu Aniyah (passed away in 1833), student of Rabbi Eliyahu Palombo and head of the yeshiva in Balat, Constantinople. Known as "The extraordinary Rabbi, Master Eliyahu, head of the land of Constantinople" (from the introduction to Yesodei Shichati). In 1826, he served as chief rabbi in Constantinople, passing away in 1832. His work, Dvar Eliyahu, was published posthumously by his student Rabbi Eliezer di Toledo at the end of She’elot u’Teshuvot Mishnat Rabbi Eliezer. He was eulogized by Rabbi Shlomo Hakim in Izmir on Shabbat Teshuva, 1833, when news of his passing reached the city.

5. Sefer Sha’arei Chaim: An important work based on Sefer HaMikach u’Mimkar by Rav Hai Gaon (including the main text), by Rabbi Chananya Yitzchak Michael Aryeh of Jerusalem.

Only and extremely rare edition. Salonica, 1814.

Signatures on the Title Page: Rabbi Yosef Yehoshua Caro (1807-1883), president of the Sephardic community board in Jerusalem and head of its rabbinical court. His Torah teachings were compiled by his grandson, Rabbi Avraham Uziel, in Bnei Yosef. He endured the loss of all his sons and daughters except one.

A lengthy correction in the hand & signature of Rabbi Raphael Chaim Binyamin Assael.

Rabbi Raphael Chaim Binyamin Assael (passed away in 1833, listed in Otzar HaRabbanim 17855) was a Torah teacher in Jerusalem, whose students all became great rabbis. Upon his passing, he was given great honor, with his students carrying him on their shoulders to the cemetery. Eulogies were held for him each morning and evening for seven days.
