Stamp of Rebbi Shmuel Gottesman of Lashkovitz. Rebbi Shmuel Gottesman-Heller of Lashkovitz was born in 1882 to his father Rebbi Yosef Yaska of Lashkovitz, brother of Rebbi Meir of Yassi, sons of Rebbi Aharon Leib of Lashkovitz, etc. Upon reaching the age of marriage, he married Rebbetzin Rachel, daughter of Rabbi Chaim Yosef Teitelbaum, son of Rabbi Israel Yaakov Yokal of Volova.
Upon his father’s in 1933, he filled his father’s position as Rebbe of Lashkovitz in Yartchev. In 1940, he fled to the United States, where his followers established the community "Ohev Yisrael" (65 East 3rd Street)
Overall Good condition, some marginal age stains, a couple marginal tears, a couple pages loose, original green cloth binding partially detached.
