Vienna, 1811.
In the first volume (not present, see previous lot), letters of praise and guidance regarding the printing of the Machzor were published, written by our master, the "Chatam Sofer" and Rabbi Mordechai Banet. The Chatam Sofer advised the publisher to include additional prayers from the Siddur of the Ya’avetz (Rabbi Yaakov Emden). Indeed, prayers and laws from Rabbi Yaakov Emden’s Siddur "Amudei Shamayim" as well as various piyutim were added to the Machzor.

In 1827 he became the head of the rabbinical court (Ra’avad) in Púchov and from 1841 he served as the head of the rabbinical court (Av Beit Din) in Schächtitz (Čachtice), a position he held for 31 years until his passing in 1872, at an advanced age, having lived a long and fulfilling life.
