Title page with the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Ben R. Elieser Halevi was born in 1739 in Gunzenhausen. From Ca. 1796 he served as Rabbi there & its surrounding communities of Dittenheim, Heidenheim, Berolzheim, Treuchtlingen & Cronheim. He also served as Dayan of Medinat Ansbach until his passing in 1813.
Flyleaf with signature of the Gaon Rabbi David Weiskopf Ab”d Wallerstein. A student of Maran the Chatam Sofer. Born in 1798 in Gunzenhausen to his father Rabbi Yitzchak Zeligman, and also studied with the geniuses: Rabbi Abraham Boheim, Rabbi Avraham Bing and Rabbi Moshe Hechheimer. Son-in-law of Rabbi Zakil the brother of Rabbi Mendel Rosenbaum of Zell. He Lived in Würzburg. Served as Rabbi of Aub, Wallerstein, Wassertrudingen & Ottingen He died in his old age in the city of Kleinerdlingen in 1872 and was buried in Wallerstein
Overall fair condition. some stains, title page and last 6 pages have corner page repairs not affecting text, first half of book has torn or frayed lower corners, original binding has damaged corners and spine. 19.5 Cm.
