This Canadian dollar was given to ‘R’ Chaim Shlomo Greenhut’ on one of his visits to the Rebbe. He was very close to the Rebbe and a prominent member in the Lubavitch community and in Canada.

This note was given in 1983. This is not a very usual occurrence as the Rebbe was accustomed to giving out American dollars to the people who visited him. R’ Chaim was a citizen of Canada and he was therefore given a Canadian dollar from the Lubavitcher Rebbe
