Antique presentation gavel from historic synagogue in Massachusetts: Anshi Volin, during the early 1900s. Hand-carved wooden handle attached to twisted brass inserted into the brass gavel head. A round thick strip of leather is inserted into both ends of the gavel head.
Engraved in English on the gavel head: Presented to the congregation Anshi Volin by Harry Cutler Feb. 1909-1925.
Good condition, some dents on leather strip, some stains on gavel head and handle.
