Tikkun the first night of Shavu’ot and Hoshana Rabba. Tikkun for the seventh night of Sukkot and the first night of Shavu’ot became formalized under the influence of the Kabbalah during the period of R. Isaac Luria and the Shelah. The liturgy includes sections of the Zohar, Idra Rabba, Bible, Mishne, Psalms and other supplications. This edition follows the order set forth in the Shelah.

The Shapira printing press was re-established in Józefów by members of the Shapira family, in place of the Slavita printing press, which was closed by government order in 1836. The printing press operated in Józefów for a short period (1842-1847), during which only a few titles were published. The printers then relocated to Zhitomir, where their printing press would operate between 1847-1867.

With an unrecorded extra Slavuta and Shapira title.

Slavuta (Jozefow) 1845.

Original leather covers.

Interesting page 55-65 has burnt hole, presumingly from a candle fire burn, missing words filled in by paper and Ksav. The last three pages are ripped but intact.
