This beautiful knife was made specifically for the circumcision ceremony. The handle is made of dense filigree wire that took many hours to create and fashion. It features a band of engraving and inlaid red stones. It has a very small hallmark on the engraving and the steel blade is marked from a well known Jewish knife maker in Vienna.

Judging from the blade being well-worn, this knife was used quite a bit by a mohel, who apparently was very well-to-do, judging from the lavish handle that this knife has.
