Rabbi Shlomo Kluger (1785-1869) was one of the greatest rabbis in the era of the Achronim, and served as Rav and Maggid in Brody for close to 50 years. He was one of the most prolific authors of Torah scholarship and wrote over 150 Torah works. Among his works are Chochmas Shlomo on Shulchan Aruch, Sefer Hachaim, Mei Nida, Nidrei Zrizin, Shu”t Tuv Taam V’da’as, Avodas Avodah, Shu”t HaElef Lecha Shlomo, and many others.
The holy tzaddik Rabbi Meir Premishlan expressed his admiration by saying: “
Meir (referring to himself) sees in the heavens that they rule in the Heavenly Mesivta just like Rabbi Shlomo rules on the earth.”
