Bound in is a 11 sided manuscript index on the whole of Sha”s, in the hand of the Famous Gaon Rabbi Betzalel Ransburk of Prague.
There are also 8 marginal notations in his hand, two of which are signed.
Harav Betzalel Ransburg (1762 – 1821) was one of the greatest Talmudists amongst the scholars of Prague. He was a disciple of the Noda B’Yehuda who held him in high regard and was part of his beit din as a dayan .He was a sage of Prague who became famous in his generation as a gadol.
Harav Ransburg authored Horah Gaver and Pischei Nida among other works.
Famous for his notes on the gemara which were published in the Vilna shas known as Hagaos Hara"b [Betzalel] Ransburg. In his eulogy the Chasam Sofer praises him: “famous gaon and holy tzaddik of virtually unmatched caliber.”
Excellent condition, later quality binding.
