The Gaon Rabbi Yakov Weidenfeld was born as the oldest son to his father circa 1902. His father praised his Lamdanus & straight thinking mind. He obtained Semicha from his uncle the Gaon Rabbi Nuchem Weidenfeld & of Rabbi Yosef Necemia Kornitzer Rabbi of Krakow.
He served as a Ra”m in Yeshivas ‘Kochev Miyakov’ that his father founded in Tchebin.
